Domination PBF RPG with pones (not only)?

Hello!
Been wondering about a singular thing for a while that is hosting a domination RPG settled in pony-like world. I did that once, but it was done in Polish and it turned out finally that many players "didn't have time/head for that". Oh well...

Here I am, wanting to host the game again in English and I ask you, if you are interested in participating. But let's start from the beginning.

Q: What is a domination RPG?
A: It's a role-playing game in which you play your role as a particular leader of a created country. You create the culture, do a diplomacy (war and peace policies), exchange goods, improve the provinces and army. You are the king in a world full of land.

Q: What can I expect from the game?
A: Do you want to be a caesar of an ancient, long-lasting empire? Or try yourself as a fearless tsar, or maybe you want to make a trading empire? Why not giving it a try? You can expect everything you and your opponents can imagine!

Q: What's the world like?
A: Medieval-like ages of pony history. The Royal Sisters were gone missing ten years ago. The world turned to chaos. From one gigantic empire, Equestria crashed into half a hundred of small provinces, mostly fighting each other to gain the power. Can you make a new order in the world and restore the global peace once again?

Q: Can I be a griffon?
A: You can be a griffon. A pony, a nomad pony, a desert pony, zebra, diamond dog or even a deer! (or a changeling queen, too...)

Q: When will it start?
A: I need at least four players and all I need to do is to translate my whole system to English, that won't take long.

Hello, bronies! Let me introduce myself: My pseudo is Jona Aps, I'm a industrial maintenance technician and I'm also the communication support of the team organizing the BronyDays. This is a european brony convention that will take place in France (Nantes) at the end of October 2015. In this thread, I will provide some information about it:

BonBon, Bonbon or Bon Bon?

Hi everypony!

Me and my friends are having quite a discussion how to spell name of this mare.

We all know that on the blindbag cards it's Sweetie Drops. But how to spell the sweeter variant?
Is it BonBon, Bonbon or Bon Bon?

She doesn't have a surname so Bonbon would make sense.

The older generations say that it's Bon Bon, fan things as well and so does the Gameloft game. But the game also says that her name is French word for candy and guess what? In French it's translated as bonbon

Help! (I was already told I broke the internet )

Concert of Przewalski's Ponies in CZ!

To many of you, this band probably doesn't ring many bells, however, you don't know what you are missing out!

Przewalski's Ponies is a brony band from Russia, which has been part of the Festival of Fantasy in Czech Republic where they were concerted on the Starting Ceremony of the MLP event line as well as part of the Bronydays 2013 Convention.

Right now, they are going on a tour throughout the Europe and one of their stops is going to be Prague, the capital of Czech Republic. This is an opportunity to not just visit our history-rich capital, but also do it with fellow bronies and under the rhytm of their tunes!

Personal snippets about the band from Jamis's Point of View

When we've seen this band for the first time at the Festival of Fantazy in CZ, none of us had a clue who they are, even thou Andy Feelin is a member of this forum for quite some while! The Gala-evening and the concert itself were awesome - we've enjoyed a music workshop (or as we call it - our own discovery of our lack of talent..) during the following afterparty into the early morning hours, before giving us goodbye (check the photos from the FF event!). We wont ever forget this memorable time!

I've lost my breath for a while as soon as I've realized that I'm talking with somebody from Moscow who I'm about to see in couple of weeks at Bronydays Convention What can I say.. you all heard the stories.. that party was pretty epic! Its only a shame that we had to leave earlier and we didnt spend much time together!

Good day everyone!

A handful of weddings have already been announced throughout the fandom and both my future wife and me wish all these people the very best! We’ll be newlyweds soon enough ourselves.

But different from this, we would like to run an art contest in celebration of our first child being born, to share joy and excitement during the last months before the birth!
There will be prizes, but they will not be very valuable, I admit.

If you'd take your time to advertise this a bit, thanks a bunch!

Here’s the rules:

- Design a filly!
- It’s supposed to represent a theoretical Ponysona for our daughter.
- Gear your design to our Ponysonas (roughly, so a connection can be distinguished, keep yourselves some freedom).
- No Cutie Mark and name required (but feel free to add, if you feel like it, not necessarily on the Pony).
- Simple image will suffice (no matter scan, photo, digital art, vector or anything else, but make sure we can make out details to appreciate your work fully!).
- Uploading and releasing the image to a blog, artpage, etc. prior to the contest’s end is fine. Mention and link to the contest appreciated.
- All designs will remain property of the original designers.
- Winning designs will be shared property only if the designers agree.
- We kindly ask to allow us to upload and release the designs to a separate gallery on deviantart, with source and information to every design given, to fully appreciate the entries.
- Multiple entries per person allowed, BUT only one will be considered in the contest, so make sure you tell us WHICH one - if we can’t distinguish which one you want as your final entry, we will automatically use the last one submitted; if they all came with a single picture/message, we’ll enter the one we like best then (since disqualifying would be a poor move). All designs will hit the gallery of course!
- No signup required, once you submit you’re automatically in!
- Contest ends on November 17th, 2013. Keep in mind our time zone in November is GMT+1 (Germany). All entries in our inboxes after our local date will hit the gallery but not the contest. The gallery will be opened and winners announced after that.

The winners will be determined not by quality of the submitted image, but purely on the design.
No matter how skilled you are (or how unskilled you consider yourself), we will take every entry serious and into consideration, so long it doesn’t violate common sense and tastefulness. Whatever designs strike us most fitting will be top ranked.

The top ranked entries can pick one of the following:
- An unused (!) copy of “My Little Karaoke - Singing is Magic”, complete with case, cover, manual and disc!

We don’t know when Junior will get her own room, but we’re serious we will do that!

San Diego Comic Con - Exclusives

This is a random rambling on a boring work day. Sorry about that

In the recent day, we may have experienced, in one form or another, that there has been a Comic con in the city of San Diego and quite a big one!

Hasbro was naturally present and has shown off plenty of exclusive goodies, mainly targeted at Transformers franchise, however other franchises, like GI Joe, JEM and My Little pony have got love of their own as well! =)

An exclusive item for this year's Comic Con in SD from the My Little Pony franchise was a unique figurine of Vinyl Scratch/DJ Pon-3 (canon name!) with a surprising label at the bottom:

"Adult Collectible. This is not a toy." - well, thats plentiful interesting! Its good to know that a spotlight event gets an acknowledgement towards the older, adult part of the fandom of MLP:FiM!

The actual toy was a hard-2-get, as it was very limited, there were massive double-queues and a hefty price tag:

"My Little Pony DJ Pon-3: This pony from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic season one, will be “embellished with Swarovski crystal elements” on her sunglasses and unicorn horn. It also comes in special lighted packaging. This one will go for $49.99."

Apparently, this is not all over just yet! paired with the toy, there is also exclusive My Little Pony comics, #9th part of the series, with a special DJ Pon-3 cover! Thats good enough on its own but its also limited to only 1000 pieces, making it rather unique - and we're not done yet!

Festival Fantazie Follow-up for Equestria Daily

Okay, let's do this. Who's in it with me?
We will definitely need to write about the FF itself, then something about Gala and Przewalski's Ponies, our own PoníCon, cosplays, auction, overall atmosphere, reception of bronies by other fandoms and the whole FF (Lemtání piva, Skřetbal, Lov na poníky) and add some short reports from various people (For example: As seen by (name): and then few lines about how that person enjoyed FF). Also photos, group photos, cosplay photos and photos from some presentations or workshop.
I suppose that 2 A4s of plain text should be just about right.

BUCK brochure advertisment

It appears that the BUCK is putting out a call for all the businesses and whoever else with cash2splash to fill up couple of colour A5 pages with advertisement in their BUCK 2013 convention brochure.

Since the target audience is extremely specific, the prices are, actually really good and tempting to make a page about G3 ponies or some crazy stuff like Skyla or else

Here is the BUCK's brochure PR:

Citace:he BUCK Conbook is a free book packed with fun and useful information that will be handed to every single attendee that comes to BUCK. If anyone would like to advertise in the BUCK Conbook and expose their business to everyone at the convention, email publicity@buckcon.org with the following information:

- Their preferred method of payment (Either via Stripe or Bank Transfer)

At only £50 for A6 and £85 for a full A5 page, your business could be exposed to everyone who attends the biggest Brony convention in Europe! Limited space available so be sure to apply quickly!

50 quid is about 1500 Czech crowns.. considering that, we could put some sort of CZ/SK bronies image or advertise that the Princess Luna is the best pony!

Hello, bronies! Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Simontheb, I am a science student, and I am also the communication manager of the team organizing the BronyDays. This is, as you may know, a european brony convention that will take place in Paris at the end of October 2013. In this thread, I will provide some information about it:

The BronyDays will be the first european convention to be held in France, and will be entirely bilingual, in both English and French. The program includes games, art and cosplay contests, interviews with the guests, a party (who doesn't like wubs?), and more...

The following guests will attend the convention as guests of honour:

- M.A. Larson, the writer who brought us amazing episodes such as Sonic Rainboom, Return of Harmony, Luna Eclipsed, Magic Duel and Magical Mystery Cure, and overall “one of the biggest driving force toward a unified narrative in the show”.

- JanAnimations a very talented artist, well-known for having animated the songs “Picture Perfect Pony” , and “Meet the Bronies” for the brony documentary.

- The Living Tombstone, one of the biggest musicians in the fandom! Check out his channel here.

- LaserPon3, famous for his spectacular laser shows, will perform at the convention! His channel here.

- Yulynh, a very talented visual artist, who designed the posters for both our convention and the crowdfunding campaign, will also be at the BronyDays! Check out her Deviant Art here.

-EileMonty is a british voice actress and singer, well-known in the community. she has taken part in various high quality fan animations like “Picture Perfect Pony”, as well as in many awesome songs such as For A United Equestria or I Am Octavia. Not only will she have a panel, she will also perform at the concert scheduled during the convention! Her youtube channel is there.

-The Przewalski’s Ponies are a russian music band, and they will come all the way from Moscow to perform at the concert of the convention and fill your ears with pony music! Their soundcloud is there.

If you wish to cover the BronyDays, to be a vendor or to get a table at the convention, you can now apply, the instructions are in this page (at the bottom).

A note about people under the age of 18: they are welcome in the convention, but they must come with an adult who is legally responsible for them. It can be a brony friend over 18, for instance.

USA Today - MLP plants a big hoof in pop culture [Image Spoiler]

Seems that rather a large group of MLP enthusiast, bronies and fans have decided to create a petition which will be sent out to Hasbro/The Hub in order to spend MORE money!

Thats right - the fillies and gentle-colts signing for this petition want nothing short of the CD/DVD with all of the official MLP music and, possibly, some extras, to be released in an official way.

Its kinda funny that the customers have to ask the company to provide more ways how to give them their money but it seems to be just the thing!

Eyuup.. got plenty of time at work.. not!

"Bronies for Bronies", thats how this new comics feels.. it seems that this comics will be exclusively aimed at Bronies, will be highly collectible (same issue - multiple covers..$$$$) and there will be at least one whole series going on. (seems like they got enough of a story to produce a TV season..)

First, the bad stuff:
Its being printed in UK and postage to Czech republic is... insane (18.00 pounds, at least when I tried to order something). However, I presume eBay, Amazon and also some major comics Czech chain will pick it up, hopefully. (ask for publisher "IDW") Or could be possible to have somebody mail them from UK manually via Airmail for cheap.

Now the good stuff:
The comics itself is quite cheap, 2.36/2.60 GBP per piece. (subs/single)

Upcoming plushies!

So, it seems a photo has "leaked" from QA office (Quality assurance and verification/testing) for the plushies of My little pony.

If you look closely.. very closely.. you will notice Vinyl Scratch plushie right at the back, 2 of them it seems actually!

Let hope those are not some manufacturing prototypes which may not end up getting produced..

So yeah.. if you got cash to splash, keep holding on to it for there may be lots of new stuff..loots
