Long ago I had dreamed and wondered
Whispers of the wind i pondered
Whether our duality denied my royality
Would our shadow fade out
had it not all gone south
Silence has befallen, my eyes settled
Royal throne, decrepit of hope
was this were would lead my lonely road
Was i but a remnant when i broke and ran to hide
why else would i had listened to the dark inside
Darkness granted serenity
But i searched for uniquity
Burrowed under denial and inaction
Blinded by the light of my reflection
Consumed by envy succumed to wrath
from light i turned casting a shadow on my path
Fallen like an angel, halo crumbled
what was once righteous has faltered
My mind cracked and heart withered
Hid away, for nothing else mattered
Far away in The tower of ethernal dusk
Build a pretty cage in a soul of a husk
A cell without bars, prison without a key
And the warden to remind me
what a pretty bird i can be
Locked and guarded by me no more
My own reflection now nothing but an eyesore
Fallen and forgotten, thus story entails
Light forced me here, but darkness prevails
Sold the cage for a promise of equality
All i got was a hungering ferocity
No show of remorse, only eyes full of pity
and blaze of the sun enveloping the city
Beaten and battered, hollow but seething
Tis body won't fall as long as i'm breathing
Curse i had brought while wishing for glory
Now all i have is the ending of my story
