Tak tedy fanoušek.

K letošnímu závodu se přihlásilo mnoho běžců z okolních měst a vesnic. Jsou trénovaní, to jde hned vidět. Hra svalů a ovzduší odhodlanosti, jak se ještě před startem protahují a rozcvičují. Já tu však jsem jen kvůli jediné závodnici. Závodníci se připravili ke startu a čekají na signál. Sekundy ubíhají. Rána a závodníci se vrhli vpřed. Země se chvěje pod údery kopyt a pod mračnem prachu není možné odhadnout, kde končí jeden závodník a začíná druhý. Ale co to? Kdo se to tam odděluje? Je to ona! Pádí, pádí a vítězí! Nedokážu se ubránit nadšení. „Hurá! Hurá! Ať žije Applejack!“
